The Baby Has Dropped!

So I went to the doctor today and the baby has dropped! :) I felt it drop on Friday night, it was about an hour of weird pressure in my pelvis and he is visibly sitting lower than he was. He said that I am 1cm dilated, 50% effaced and the baby's heart rate is about 10 beats per minute faster than it was, meaning he's getting ready! :) He also said that Connor might hang out right there for a little while so I'm not getting too excited yet. BUT on a good note, things are happening, there IS progress! :)

Jimmy and I are going on a date night tonight since it could be one of out last for a while. I can't wait to spend some time with my hubby!

Becoming Very Real!

Today was my original due date! That's crazy! March 28th... then they moved it to April 23rd. It's nuts to think of how close we are getting to meeting little Connor James! I'm excited!

Getting excited for baby!

So the baby has dropped and I'm just waiting... I have lots of brackston hicks contractions which are not painful at all just a little uncomfortable if I'm trying to bend over :). In the last two days my ankles have swollen up severly and they look like Jimmy Dean Sausage tubes.

I got my last ultra sound done yesterday and they said everything looks good and normal. The baby's head is burried down deep in my pelvis and the tech said he's not movin' before he comes out. She was poking him to get him to move his hands and he did NOT like that, his little lips came out and he was pouting, the more she jiggled him the deeper the pout. :) He's gonna have attitude! It could be two weeks, four weeks or even six if they will let me go that long but we will see. I'm just really excited to meet him.

I'm slowly working on the nursery and he's got a place to sleep so that's good. I'll put some pictures up soon so you can see where the little guy will call home for a while. :)

First Blog Entry

I'm so excited that our little family is growing!! We will have three Mahon's in our household before we've been married a year! That's crazy!

It's getting closer to the time when Connor will arrive and I'm so excited to meet him. He's definately got attitude and personality, even in the womb. He loved to play the 'push on the underside of mommy's belly button' game. I'm sure it's not the last game he will enjoy playing that is painful for me.

My wonderful husband, by the grace of God, was able to extend his military career by 3 months allowing us to have Tricare insurance through the birth and first few weeks of Connor's life. Praise the Lord! Having a child can be uber expensive without insurance and I would have been unable to get a new policy when ours ended (origionally March5th) because of my 'condition' :)
