Sick Days

So we've had some sick boys!

You wouldn't know it to look at them though!!

Vale has a upper respiratory infection and a viral infection in both of his ears.

 The doc gave him some steroids to reduce the swelling in his ears and throat.

 Connor got a fever Friday night... and it continued for days.

 Finally on Monday we too him to the doctor and he has a double ear infection and they gave him some anti-biotics.

He's been in pretty good spirits even though his temp has been pretty consistently 103.8...

We are hoping they both get better soon!

Vale is 6 months old today!

So Vale is 6 months old today!

YEAH!

He's so sweet!

 So what does Vale do at 6 months old you might ask?

 

He loves to watch things.  Be it people, the sky, tv, mommy cook or (his favorite in the world) Connor run around.

He loves to be snuggled.  He giggles and giggles when you kiss his neck and cheeks.

He rolls over at will and likes to prop himself up on his arms with his back arched to look around.

He sits up pretty well for a while to play and then falls over and rolls around.

Vale goes to bed very well!  We give him his paci (which he loves) and he goes to sleep.

Speaking of his paci, he loves to chew on it.  He just holds it by his mouth and gnaws on it.  We've tried to give him teethers but he prefers his pacifier.

So Now That I'm 30...

This was actually the best birthday I've ever had!!  My birthday is normally kinda a terrible day... but not this year!!

 I went to Disneyland and got to watch my two year old get so excited about everything!!  It was a wonderful gift!

I wore these buttons around all day along with my Happy Birthday crown... :)  People were telling me happy birthday by name all day long!

 

I came home from Disneyland to find our apartment completely decorated with streamers, banners and tinsel! :)

 I have such great friends!

They put party hats on me in all the pictures in our apartment!

 It was so funny!

Then the next night my mom made me a birthday dinner of beef stroganoff, noodles, green bean casserole, pretzel salad, yeast rolls and cake!!!! 

I LOVE this cake!!! So fun!!!  And Connor helped me blow out the candles! :)

The Friday before, we had a birthday dinner with friends from out bible study at Stonefire Grill which was AWESOME!  It was a bit windy, cause we sat outside but it was great!

One of the girls made this brownie cake with peanut butter frosting... awesome!

So... all that to say, I'm very loved and extremely blessed!!!! 

Trip to Disneyland!

We took Connor (and Vale) to Disneyland on my 30th birthday!  It. Was. Awesome.

I woke up to roses on my pillow and a coffee!

My mom and Auntie Ruthie got me a new birthday outfit and a happy birthday princess crown!

All was great until about 5 minutes into the hour long drive to Disney, Connor threw up in his car seat!!  Now you have to understand, we'd tried to go to Disneyland in March and got 5 minutes into the trip and he threw up then as well!!

 I figured we'd have to go home but he didn't seem sick so my mom thought we should just keep going, change him and clean him up when get there.  So that's what we did!

He was so eager to get to Disneyland he was helping daddy push!

 Vale was so cute in his mickey ears!

 Connor wasn't a huge fan of his so Jimmy wore them for a while.  They were the infant size so it pretty much looked like a yamaka on Jimmy... :)

 

Connor got a 'First Timer' Button and wore it proudly for most of the day!

 It was tough to get a picture of them together! :)

We didn't get a family picture, which I'm a little disappointed about but that's ok :)

We got this pic in front of the castle though!

 Connor's first Disney ride was the carousel.  He was so excited to ride the horsey!

 Then we went on the dumbo ride.

 He was having fun when mom and dad weren't kissing!  :)

 He's such a little ham.

 This was Vale most of the day...

Waiting in line was fun with a two year old... :)  He still struggles understanding the concept of a line.

 We had lunch in Frontier Land and had all you can eat ribs, bbq chicken and sausages.  It was really good and the cowboy entertainment was great!  Connor napped through most of the meal in the stroller which was wonderful!

 He enjoyed the corn and cornbread when he woke up :)

 Then while mommy fed Vale, Connor got to go meet Jesse the cowgirl from Toy Story!!!

He didn't want to wait in line but had to.  When he got up to the front he got very shy.

He was nervous but finally gave her a hug.

Then he kinda freaked out a little bit when she tickled him. :) hahaha

 His favorite ride by far was the Buzz Lightyear ride!  (you can see his little face sticking out of Jimmy armpit...)

He cried when we had to get off so we went on it twice.

 Connor really enjoyed the parade!!!  His facial expressions were awesome!!

 He was mesmerized!

 He was just screaming with excitement... literally!!

This is definitely my favorite picture of the day!

 He wanted to see everything and take it all in!  It was great!

We will hopefully get to go next year when the school has their Disney day.  

It was such a joy to watch him have so much fun!!
