2012 Christmas Letter

Dear Family and Friends,

And another year rolls around!  Wow, time seems to be going faster as we get older!  A lot happened in 2012!

We can kinda break down the year into three parts and since my husband is in school it ends up as first semester, the summer and second semester.  First semester we had so many visitors here in California which was wonderful!!  Courtney was so excited to be able to volunteer at the Shephard's Conference and Jimmy was very blessed by attending.  We took a trip up to Northern Cali for Easter to be with family and were able to several fun things in LA with our guests.  The summer was spent in Virginia Beach, staying with Jimmy's mom and looking after some of Jimmy's cousins.  We had such a fun time and were able to do so many neat things with them, it was really a blessing.  We took several short trips to Ohio, Williamsburg, DC and Wilmington which were also a lot of fun.  The second semester seemed to be the fastest adjusting to the new schedule of Jimmy working full time and the family only having one car.  We were also very blessed this summer to have Courtney's brother and his wife staying at our house this semester while they attended seminary and looked for a house to buy.  The boys, especially, liked having their Uncle Trevor and Aunt Kati around all the time.

Vale has changed so much this year!  He was only a month and a half old when it started so that is to be expected. :)  He is walk/running around everywhere now and saying about half a dozen words regularly.  He is a little pistol that knows what he wants and when he wants it.  He's got a sweet tooth and seems to be able to identify candy from about 20 feet away.  I am excited to see how he will change and grow in the year to come.

Connor has learned so much this year.  He's playing soccer and thinks it's the best thing ever!  He likes to climb things, jump and tumble.  He mommy's sweet little cuddler who loves people and loves making them happy.  He enjoyed swimming a lot this summer both in the pool and the ocean at Virginia Beach.  He's enjoyed having his little brother grow up to the point of being able to play with him.  Connor turned 2 this year and although we've seen glimpses of the terrible two's he has such a sweet spirit and loves to learn about Jesus at church.

Courtney turned 30 this year and had the best birthday ever!  We took Connor and Vale to Disneyland for the first time on that day and it was so much fun.  She's been enjoying having two boys and adjusting to the welcomed chaos that brings.  She was involved this year in a women's bible study at our church and really enjoyed it.  She's looking forward to the upcoming year and plans to continue to stay busy with church and activities for the boys.

Jimmy is still at the Master's College studying biblical languages.  This last semester was the first semester with both languages at the same time so that was a challenge but a welcome one that he enjoyed.  He loves to study the Bible in it's original language.  He also got a full time job this past August (praise the Lord!) working a the school as security.  He is enjoying it immensely and even gets to study while he's there.  He feels very blessed to be able to work with quality people in such a flexible environment.

We are so blessed to have all of you in our lives.

Jimmy, Courtney, Connor and Vale
