O the days of September...

Connor loves to play games and even though he's little he likes to participate!

Rich, Michelle, William and baby Emma came over for Sunday lunch the other afternoon.

Vale is the snuggliest little baby!!  He pulled his feet up and was holding the bottle with his feet and hands! :)

Connor has been enjoying the book 'The Dangerous Journey' which is an abridged version of Pilgrims Progress for children.  We all love it!

Some daddy - son time... :)

So some funny things Connor says... 

I was telling him we needed to get dressed and put our clothes on, which he did NOT want to do.  I said, "Connor you have to put on your pants!  You can't just be naked"  to this he replied "But it's my JOB to be NAKED!"  oh me oh my... 

He will give you a kiss on both of your cheeks frequently but the other day he did it to me and then took both of his hands and rubbed up and down on my cheeks.  I smiles, laughed and said 'are you wiping off your kisses!!!'  and he goes 'no I'm rubbing them IN!' :)  Oh my heart... 

His newest thing is saying 'Are you kidding me!'  I first heard it after we'd had pb&j for about the 14th lunch in a row... and I said 'ok I'm making you a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch' and he goes, right on cue... 'Are you kidding me!?' :)  lovely... if he was older that might have been punishable...

When Aunt Michelle was over for lunch the other day the conversation was as follows:

Connor: I love you!

Michelle: I love you MORE!

C: I love you to the moon and back!

M: I love you to the moon and back times infinity!

C: I love you to the moon and back to infinity and beyond! :)

Oh the story that my boys tell... :)

Vale

 Ok so Vale doesn't really tell all that many STORIES right now... but I'm sure he will.

He is SOOO wanting to talk!

He likes to say hi-ya! You know like a karate chop... don't ask... I just go with it... 

He's had quite a rough time teething... slight fever, awful runny nose, rash... yuck yuck yuck.

He's got two bottom teeth as of right now but there are more budding, I know it!

He still thinks Connor is the funniest person on the planet.

He's now playing really well with Connor... they like to play cars and tackle each other... and yes he tackles Connor too!

He now follows me everywhere, crawling after me down the hall, in the kitchen, in my room...

His neck is very ticklish and so are his legs.

He's couch surfing like a pro and has stood up on his own a couple of times with no help!

He'll walk down the hall with you if you hold both hands.

Connor used to growl at everyone, well Vale likes to shriek like a pterodactyl... 

Vale has a little temper!  If he decides to pitch a fit, watch out world!

This kid eats EVERYTHING in site!  If it's on the floor or even within his reach he's trying to eat it.

He's a great eater at the table too!  He likes the taste of everything but HATES puree texture... no applesauce for this kid...

I want to share a couple of cute Connor stories recently...

He told me a couple of weeks ago that he wanted to tell me a story and this is what he said, "Jesus was walking on the road and then they came and they killed him.  He was on the cross.  Then he gave the money and got up."  I was confused about this until I realized that was his understanding of when we say to him that Jesus paid the price for sin and rose again.  HAHAHA  oh he's hilarious!

Last week, my husband was getting ready for work and Connor was laying in our bed (I had let him stay up to spend some time with his daddy).  He said, "Your going to work to see your friends?" to which my husband replied that yes he was going to work.  Connor then said, "when I get big I'm going to go to work and have a beard." :)  Nice Connor... nice.   The next day he told ME that I USED to go to work and have a beard but now I'm old... Thanks buddy... thanks... 

We are trying to get Connor not to whine and cry when he wants his way.  We were all sitting around the table and he was crying, for no reason about something and Jimmy was trying to explain to him when it's ok to cry and when it's not.  He used my brother Trevor as an example and said, "Uncle Trevor cries sometimes" to which Connor looked at Trevor with disgust and said "You like a baby!!" :)  It was hilarious!

Ventura Beach!

On Monday we went to Ventura Beach with Aunt Michelle and Baby Emma!

We had a picnic on the beach which was great but the little ones food was full of sand... 

Didn't bother them... :)

 It was baby Emma's first time on the beach!  She did great!

Vale loved the beach!!!  I had to be careful where I put him down... 

Connor was chasing birds and loved it!

He loves to sing... what better way to pass the day than swingin' and singin'...

Isn't that an awesome view!  Name me a better place to swing?!

We were a little sleepy on the way home... I unfortunately don't get the luxury of a nap as we drive... 

It's so much fun spending time with my boys!

Days go by...

So maybe this is why Vale's skin is so soft... 

Refried bean mudd mask... works every time... :)

We made Connor a car track with an old box and he loved it! :)

There was a gas station, tire changing, oil change and a parking lot... he decided there needed to be some art work added... :)

Endless energy

Connor got an umbrella and some rain boots and he loves them!

He's such a ball of energy!

Vale just watches... happy to be entertained.  Lately though he's been participating a lot more!

Connor has discovered the joy hiding places!!!  His favorites are under his bed and the kitchen cabinets!  He likes to close the door for a long time and them swing it open really fast and yell BOO!

We started a kindergarten workbook today and Connor loved it!!!
We used a word search yesterday and found all the A's which he did a very good job at!

We started with the A's... did a worksheet on that and he did great!
He pointed to the A's and I colored them.  He only messed up once when he confused the B on the bottom right with an A...
Then we traced one capital A and lower case a together, did the second one together, then he did it by himself and did a good job!!

I was so impressed!!!  Good job little guy!

Getting to see DADDY!!!

 So we had a very long day on Friday!

We woke up early and took care of the Martin kids until about 1 then headed to the airport to get on a plane to go home to California to see DADDY!

At 6:45 in the morning, Connor was ready to go!

He put on his backpack only to find it was much heavier than normal!!

He didn't like that... He was trying to warn me...

But over he went... 

yeah he wasn't too thrilled about that... but he kept the pack on!

 Then I reminded him that we were gonna get to see daddy... :)

Flying with two wasn't as bad as I expected!  Didn't get any pics though cause my camera was put away for safe keeping... 

Daddy was so excited to see us!!!  We were pretty stoked to see him too...

Some of us lacked a little bit of stamina after our long day... 

 Vale ate noodles with red sauce for the first time by himself the other day... 

yeah... it was great...

 He's like, you just put the noodles in like this...

Then you use your two little teeth to chew them up... 

 then you swallow!  See I'm a big boy! :)
