Afternoon at the park!

It was obsenely hot for mid march so we decided to go to the park! We stayed hydrated, don't worry! :)

Connor's such a good big brother, Vale would get stuck in the middle of the 'big' slide that wrapped around a couple times and Connor would go down after him and push him out :) haha

peek-a-boo!

He's so cute! (ignore the bruise on is face... that's a battle wound from a fight with a 4x4 at another playset...)

Vale loves to play in tunnels!

Brothers!

Vale was LOVIN' the green grass!!!

This child has such a sweet spirit and disposition!!  LOVE IT!

Saying goodbye to Toby! :(

Toby was becoming increasingly unhappy at our place so we had to re-home him.

He went to live with a couple in Santa Monica who had no kids so treated their dogs like their children, perfect for Toby!!!

They have another little doxie and they sent me a video of them playing together which was wonderful!

It was rough saying goodbye though, I cried the whole way home from dropping him off.

I really think he'll be happier though with a less chaotic environment.

Us... yeah, just us...

So... somebody needs a haircut... and that same somebody is about to get pile drived with a stuffed football player... :)

So the haircut needed to take place!

As long as Connor was happy getting his hair cut, Vale was happy with his... it was cute.

I didn't realize how much of his face was hidden by the mop of hair!

We had a fun time with Link a couple of weeks ago, playing in Rich and Michelle's back yard.
I called them the dirt squad...

Both Connor and Lincoln were throwing dirt up over their heads... sigh... boys...

Vale preferred to play with the ball.

Hahaha Link's face is COVERED in dirt and his hair is normally much more blonde...

We had a cold spell for a while... I acquired a little monkey during the weather change!

Oh Connor, my ever happy boy!

We went to Ditty Riese and got Vale a chocolate chip cookie... hahaha wow did he enjoy that!!! It's down his leg and all over his inner arms too!

Connor thought this was very funny...

My little climb king!  He wants to get up on EVERYTHING!

What my kids are into...

So I'm sitting here watching Connor make animal faces at himself and claw at the air in the mirror... this kid is a hoot (and just like his daddy I might add...) :)

This is Vale's newest sound... he does it all the time and everywhere... sigh...

My cool little doods... :)

Both of my boys look cute in hats!  Now if I can just get them to keep them on!

Vale prefers his backwards :)

And Connor is the traditional straight forward type. :)

Connor loves his little buddy Toby!!  They hang out in the cage together.  I was nervous about this at first but Toby seems to like it.  They both curled up on his blanket and took a nap... yeah...

Well after they ferociously frightened away all the lions, tigers and warthogs.

Tuesday afternoon we put some music on and had a little dance party in the living room.  The boys then wanted to play drums to every song that came on... nice... :)

Vale has finally become interested in books!!! :)  You could read to Connor for hours and he would just go get another book.  Vale now is totally infatuated with a little clifford book that we have and has me read it over and over.  I'm ok with that! :)

Couple things about the boys:

Connor hides whenever Vale is in trouble! It's hilarious!!  I was just warning Vale that if he touched something again he would get punished and Connor ran and hid under the table and was peeking out from being the leg.  He gets really upset when Vale's in trouble!  It's so sweet and I'm so glad that he doesn't get glee out of it like I seemed to when I was an evil little child... :)

Vale is saying lots of words but he's mighty stubborn!!!  He said cookie yesterday but refused to repeat it to get another cookie... He does say mama, dada, bah-bah (for his bottle), todee (toby), more, gain (again), down, go, don't go, some for of consistent sound for cup and he growls for every animal sound.  He definitely knows what he wants.

Connor would eat, PB&J or mac & cheese for every meal if we'd let him.

Vale LOVES peas!  He eats them by the fist full.  It's really quite funny.

Connor fell off the top bunk onto the top of his head!!! yup... mom of the year award right here. I scooped him up and I was almost in tears as he was crying and I was asking, through being totally choked up, if he was ok and he said, 'mommy don't be sad! I'm ok' which made me actually cry to which he responded, "Mommy what' wrong? You don't love me anymore??" Oh my word rip my heart out!!!! This kid knows how to melt his mommy... I held him for about a half hour... The experience was more traumatizing for me than him...

Vale loves to shake his head no.  He knows what it means to he just doesn't SAY no... he does it when he's affirming that you don't want him to do something or when he's telling you he doesn't want something.

Both of my boys love to slow dance with mommy and I think it's so sweet!!!  They definitely show me lots of love!

Making Valentine's Day Cards!

Connor LOVED making Valentine's Day cards with me!  And he enjoyed even more giving them to the recipients who lived near us!

He enjoyed the painting the most...

I left the markers out and the next morning I found that Connor had tried to make himself a tiger... he said he needed blue feet, blue stripes and a blue nose to be a tiger cause tigers are blue and orange... hmmm... maybe we need to see a tiger in real life and not just on the tv with funny colors...

Connor sent out his Valentines with a kiss!

Vale on the other hand, suffering from a bad ear infection and the remnants of a virus was just tryin to make it through the day... :) ha

He's such a sweet boy...

'Wait what?  There's no candy in these valentines???' :)

My sweet crazy boys and their adventures...

So both Vale and Connor love to play the 'dishes' drums...
The other day they pulled out every pan I was not using to make their music...

They are both so cute on their little computers!!  Love. Them.

We watched the super bowl again this year over at Rich and Michelle's... Connor and Link had a blast playing and Connor even watched... I'd say collectively, 6 minutes of the game... :)

We went to the Zoo with some friends and that is always a hit with my boys!
Connor is brushing a goat here...

Vale's trying to figure out the sheep...

We spent some time in the reptile center trying to 'unscarify' snakes for Connor... I think it went well!
Vale was obsessed with this big fish!

Connor liked the lizards and has referenced them several times since our excursion.

The lizards in this big 'atrium' were VERY active!  There were two fighting and the boys were running around yelling 'fight, fight, fight!!' :) Nice.

Vale was groovin with this snake... he heard music from the carousel above him and was just a boppin away.

The boys were pretending they were being squeezed by the huge snake... :)

Connor was so excited to see the warthogs!!!  He talked about it all day. :)

He made a friend.

He was quite fascinated by the Rino and frankly so was I... they are such odd creatures!

All in all we've had a lot of fun this week!!  Can't wait to have more! :)
