Vale's Rubber Ducky Party

So Vale turned one and I was trying to think of things that he liked that we could create a birthday theme around.  Rubber Duckies seemed the best thing!

It's hard to tell in this picture but they whole floor is covered with blue tarp and half way up the walls is covered in blue plastic.  The 'bubbles' hanging from the ceiling were intended to make it seem like the room was a bubble bath.  I think the effect was much better in person.

This is a punch I found on pinterest and it worked really well!  It was really cute.

This was lemonade and the blue things floating in it are blue rubber ducky's filled with ice.

We had stuff to 'feed' the duckies (fish and pirate's booty), 'quackers' and cheese, pretzel duckies, a jello pond and cake and ice cream.

The jello pond turned out cute!  It was blue jello with mandarin oranges in it and coolwhip on top.

The pretzel duckies (or chickies...:]) were really easy and really good.  It was just baby pretzels, a yellow colored white chocolate melt (heated in the microwave then spread) a sprinkle and orange icing.  I was really pleased with these!

The mantle turned out pretty fun!

This balloon was cute and cheap!  Bought it online... not to bad...

We had a kiddie pool shaped like a duck that we were planning on playing a game in but it was too cold for water games.

The boys were very really excited about the bubbles inside!!!  Since everything was covered they had a great time with the bubbles!

I got these plain rubber duckies and a package of permanent markers and everyone decorated their own.  It was really fun!

I think we all agreed that 'afro circus' duck won. :)

We had a good time and things turned out pretty much how I wanted them to!  I was really happy and Vale had a great time!
