The wee one is 11 months!

Soooo my baby is only a month away from his first year!!

Some things that have happened this past month...

He started his first tooth bud!  That's right... 10 and a half months and my baby is finally teething!!!

 Yeah?!??

Cause teething also comes with this...

 There were some other firsts too!

 He colored for the first time. :)

 

He wrestled with his 'little' bruiser cousin brennan and got tackled... sigh...

 But they were buds :)

Life these days is all about food for Connor and from what I've heard that doesn't change with boys... 

He LOVES these baby food pouches and well so does mommy cause they are quick, easy and mess free!

He's great at eating on his own!

(you can also see, he's still small enough to fit in the bumbo and wear size 3-6 month clothes... sigh...)

 He loves to play the cheerio game where we put cheerio's all around the coffee table and he walks around to eat them... it's a good 15 minutes of quiet entertainment!  YES!

He eats nearly EVERYTHING... he points to whatever your eating and says 'nay nay nay' which means 'I want some'. :)

 Some of his favorite foods are strawberries, scrambled eggs, pasta with tomato sauce, pizza crust, cheerios, pita chips, bananas, and all types of raw veggies.  This kid's gonna be a hoover like his daddy :)

Great Grandma and Grandpa's visit

We are so blessed to have family come and visit!

Great Grandma and Grandpa Gregory came to visit!!

Very happy with them!  He's so loveable!

He's like how many of these are we gonna take! :)

He kept mimicking Grandpa and saying 'pop pop pop pop'

My baby is 10 months old!

My little guy is now a 10 month old!  Whew whooo!!

Some things my baby is doing:

He just recently learned to climb the stairs! (like yesterday actually...)  We have a video I will post later.

 We all clapped and cheered for him when he got to the top.

Connor loves Uncle Rich and Aunt Michelle's house, especially because Aunt Michelle lets him completely clear out her Tupperware cabinet! 

 He was just making sure there was nothing left...

 We took the little peanut to the Santa Monica Pier and had a good time as a fam!

 There was a street performer playing cover songs so we sat down on the grass to listen.

He loved playing in the grass... :)

About a week ago we turned around to this.  Yeah it was a little nuts... this was BEFORE the climbing of the stairs all the way.  He was so proud of himself!

One of his other favorite things to do is clean out the bottom of mom's fridge.  :) when he hears the fridge door or the dish washer door open up he makes a beline for he kitchen to 'help'.

My baby is GROWING!

Well as of this week, Connor is now completely weened... *tear*... I miss feeding him!  But we decided that because he's so little for the last two months, before big boy milk (aka whole milk) we'll give him formula to fatten him up.  It's helping him sleep better I think and it's consequentially helping ME sleep better :)

He doesn't have any teeth yet... he's stuck eating soft foods...

My sweet peanut is such a little stud :)

 Haha this cracks me up!  His pj's stretch out during the night and in the morning they are like a bag.

 He's such a happy boy!!!

 Mahon Meandering

I have decided that Monday nights, when Jimmy is in class, Connor and I are going to go exploring!! :)

This past Monday I had to drive to Oxnard to go to Navy Federal (because they ridiculously don't have a branch in the LA area!) which is about 1 hour and 15 minutes away.  Well it's right up the road from the lovely, scenic and touristy Ventura.  I figured we'd make a little adventure of it and Connor, Toby and I walked the boardwalk/promenade by the ocean.  It was BEAUTIFUL and I'm so glad that we saw it!  We also drove around and looked at the old buildings, little shops and pier.

Connor has now been to the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans

I've decided that this semester we are going to make this a regular thing!  Monday night exploration!  Granted Connor won't remember any of it but we'll take pictures :).

This poor kid gets dragged all over!  I refuse to let a baby slow me down more than he has to! :)

Next week I believe we shall go to Santa Monica Pier! :)

O Connor Baby...

 Ready for winter!

Connor found a discarded chocolate chip cookie on the floor before the dog did and well... it was gone before we knew what happened and he looked like this.

OH Amelia is so cute!!  She loves shoes and so she tried on Jimmy's boots!  She looks like a cowboy... 'listen here little lady, you follow me and I'll show you were that dirty diaper goes!'

This is his favorite way to sit lately.

So... yesterday was the day of poop.  Yes I said it, day of poop.

First, Toby made a horrible mess with his waste which we are still trying to clean up.  I don't even want to go into that.

Then I look over at Connor playing on the hardwood floor and he's smearing his poop all over the kitchen floor!  His footie pj's are FILLED... I put him in the tub and took off his pj's to find BOTH feet filled with poo... the diaper was covered, inside and out... oh it was a mess!

Needless to say that we cleaned up and got the little guy a bath.  I took this picture and he's looking at me like... what... did I do something???

Then we have our sweet happy baby with a runny nose :)

 

What a fun little boy!  I'm so lucky!

Connor update...

A lot has happened since we left California!

Connor started crawling on Christmas Eve but he doesn't really like to crawl.

He prefers to stand up and play.

He is an expert couch surfer.

He loves ottomans, they are just the right height for him.

He likes to walk if you hold his hands.

He is STILL wearing a size 3-6 months clothes and he's almost 9 months old!  He's a little guy!

Everyone's comment about him seems to be he's so 'compact'! :)

This is what happens when Great Grandma's get ahold of him.

He makes all kinds of noises and recently has been buzzing his lips like speed boat.  He also scrunches up his face and breathes hard through his nose when he has a full bite in his mouth.

He's eating more solid food now!  This is him eating his eggs and biscuits for breakfast!

He likes to mimic what others do.  If you bang on the table, he bangs on the table; you sing, he sings.
