Mahon Meandering

I have decided that Monday nights, when Jimmy is in class, Connor and I are going to go exploring!! :)

This past Monday I had to drive to Oxnard to go to Navy Federal (because they ridiculously don't have a branch in the LA area!) which is about 1 hour and 15 minutes away.  Well it's right up the road from the lovely, scenic and touristy Ventura.  I figured we'd make a little adventure of it and Connor, Toby and I walked the boardwalk/promenade by the ocean.  It was BEAUTIFUL and I'm so glad that we saw it!  We also drove around and looked at the old buildings, little shops and pier.

Connor has now been to the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans

I've decided that this semester we are going to make this a regular thing!  Monday night exploration!  Granted Connor won't remember any of it but we'll take pictures :).

This poor kid gets dragged all over!  I refuse to let a baby slow me down more than he has to! :)

Next week I believe we shall go to Santa Monica Pier! :)

O Connor Baby...

 Ready for winter!

Connor found a discarded chocolate chip cookie on the floor before the dog did and well... it was gone before we knew what happened and he looked like this.

OH Amelia is so cute!!  She loves shoes and so she tried on Jimmy's boots!  She looks like a cowboy... 'listen here little lady, you follow me and I'll show you were that dirty diaper goes!'

This is his favorite way to sit lately.

So... yesterday was the day of poop.  Yes I said it, day of poop.

First, Toby made a horrible mess with his waste which we are still trying to clean up.  I don't even want to go into that.

Then I look over at Connor playing on the hardwood floor and he's smearing his poop all over the kitchen floor!  His footie pj's are FILLED... I put him in the tub and took off his pj's to find BOTH feet filled with poo... the diaper was covered, inside and out... oh it was a mess!

Needless to say that we cleaned up and got the little guy a bath.  I took this picture and he's looking at me like... what... did I do something???

Then we have our sweet happy baby with a runny nose :)

 

What a fun little boy!  I'm so lucky!

Connor update...

A lot has happened since we left California!

Connor started crawling on Christmas Eve but he doesn't really like to crawl.

He prefers to stand up and play.

He is an expert couch surfer.

He loves ottomans, they are just the right height for him.

He likes to walk if you hold his hands.

He is STILL wearing a size 3-6 months clothes and he's almost 9 months old!  He's a little guy!

Everyone's comment about him seems to be he's so 'compact'! :)

This is what happens when Great Grandma's get ahold of him.

He makes all kinds of noises and recently has been buzzing his lips like speed boat.  He also scrunches up his face and breathes hard through his nose when he has a full bite in his mouth.

He's eating more solid food now!  This is him eating his eggs and biscuits for breakfast!

He likes to mimic what others do.  If you bang on the table, he bangs on the table; you sing, he sings.

Connor's First REAL Haircut!

Connor got his first REAL haircut yesterday!

He really needed it... this is his before picture.

 We went to a really cool place in VA Beach called Ponytails & Crewcuts.

They had all these little cars and planes they could sit in to get their hair cut.

He LOVED the steering wheel.  It was a great distraction.

These are the before pictures, while he was getting comfortable.

She started cutting and he was a happy camper!  

She was really good at following his head movements!  

No big chunks missing! :)

 Then he started to look worried... 

He's like 'ummm what is she doing to my hair!? Do you realize she's cutting things OFF?'

He was so happy after his cut!

I'm tellin you he LOVED this car!!

 I think he looks adorable with his new hair cut but I do miss my little wild man!
